Anyone can read and search the whole Bible here without signing in — no account, no email, nothing collected. The Verse of the Day and a daily devotional are open to everyone too.
An account holds your own work: your bookmarks, highlights, notes, reading plans, and prayer journal. When you sign out, all of it leaves the screen
Your journal, the notes you write beside a verse, your sermon notes, and your answers in a study guide are encrypted on your phone before any of it is sent to our servers. Faith in the Journey, We The Brotherhood, Supabase, and anyone who could ever reach our servers cannot read them
With a note, that covers the verse it belongs to as well as what you wrote. Which passages you stop and write about says something about you, so our servers do not hold that either — your phone keeps it, and your phone is where the app looks.
It stays tied to your ordinary account — there is no second login to keep track of. One key opens both your journal and your notes. Your account says which encrypted records are yours; only your key can open them, and we do not have your key.
We want to be precise here rather than flattering, because the two are not the same.

Your prayer journal and your notes
Because we do not hold your key, we cannot read what it protects — and we also cannot restore it for you. Opening your journal or your notes on a new phone takes your recovery code, which we show you once, when you first begin. Keep it somewhere safe.
If every phone that holds them is gone and the recovery code is lost, your journal and notes cannot be opened again — by us or by anyone. That is the honest cost of real privacy, and we would rather tell you plainly than quietly keep a spare key.
We don’t track what you read. We don’t build a profile of you. There are no ads — not on the reading screen, not anywhere in the app, not ever — and we will never use your prayers, notes, highlights, or reading to advertise to you.
The app carries no analytics or tracking code at all. If crash reporting is ever added, it will never contain the words of your notes or prayers.
Your reading, your notes, and your prayers are ad-free — no banners, no promotions, no “buy this,” ever. That space stays between you, your thoughts, and God.
Faith in the Journey and the We The Brotherhood apparel brand are kept separate. Down the road, a piece of We The Brotherhood apparel may carry a QR code that opens a devotional or a reading plan — a gift to draw you deeper into the Word, never a sales pitch. That bridge runs one way only: into Scripture and content. It never brings a store, an ad, or your shopping into your reading, your notes, or your prayers.
And your faith data and any shopping stay in separate places, joined only by your email, and only with your clear, opt-in yes.
You can erase your account and everything in it — on your phone and in the cloud — permanently, from the account screen, any time.
